Maria Khrabrova
M.S. Khrabrova graduated from Pavlov First Saint-Petersburg State Medical University in 2008. 2008-2011 - postgraduate specialization in internal disease and nephrology in the same University. 2012-13 —clinical specialization in kidney transplantation in Nephrology Center of Lower Saxony, Hann. Muenden, Germany. In 2015 completed a PhD work dedicated to the rejection of kidney allograft. Since 2011 Dr. Khrabrova works in the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases (Pavlov First Saint-Petersburg State Medical University), now as associate Professor. In clinical practice she specializes on diagnostics and treatment approaches of different types of kidney injury, associated with rheumatic and haematological disorders
A Case of Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation
as a Second Line Therapy in
Patient
with Severe Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (SLE and SSc)

Sharing the Experience at International Conference in Moscow, Russia, November 2019
The report will provide a case of successful application of high dose chemotherapy with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for severe mixed connective tissue disease (SLE and SSc) performed in Pavlov First Saint-Petersburg State Medical University. The following aspects of the case will be discussed: clinical course of the disease that manifests with kidney injury and subsequent involvement of other organs and systems; the type of kidney injury which is unusual for autoimmune disease. Morphological pattern of renal injury will be illustrated by pictures including ultrastructure analysis of kidney sample. Multidisciplinary approach for patient with severe autoimmune disease with multisystem involvement which is refractory to the standard treatment will be discussed.
